Combining long exposure times with unrepeatable camera or subject movements, they are one-of-a-kind captures, intended to move beyond the hard edge of reality to engage with nature at a more emotional level.

"Down To Earth" is a collection of low altitude aerial shots that I've taken from a helicopter, or by flying a powered paraglider, or a heavy-lift quadcopter (drone) equipped with a high-resolution mirrorless camera.

Like many people, I often dreamed of flying when I was a kid. Not flying in a plane, but as a bird ... light and free, soaring on the wind with wings like an eagle's. Well, it took awhile (about 67 years), but that dream finally came true when I took up powered paragliding in 2012.
